COLINET's senior staff consists of Peter Colin and Joel Shwimer. Each brings two decades of experience in
fixed income information systems for dealers, banks and portfolio managers.
During the last
several years, both men have been active in the structured securities market, assembling large scale fixed income
securities databases and developing the analytics and pricing models sought by issuers, dealers, investors and regulators.
Peter Colin
Peter Colin, President and CEO, brings two decades of fixed income technology experience, with securities dealers, institutional
investors, and information vendors serving the securities industry. Under an agreement with Vining Sparks, Peter independently
develops the COLINET PoolView product for the fixed income securities industry.
As an executive at Vining-Sparks,
Peter has led that firm's trading technology, analytic services and information systems divisions. He is the lead architect
of that firm's highly acclaimed fixed income pricing and analytics capabilities. Previously, Peter was part of the turnaround
team at Warrington Financial Systems (now part of Sungard Data Systems), at the time the largest provider of securities processing and software to the capital markets sector
of the U.S. banking industry, where he was instrumental in upgrading that firm's aging products and services. His earlier
experience includes five years as CIO for Union Planters Investment Banking Group, and technical and management positions
at Control Data Corp. Peter received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Swarthmore College.
Joel Shwimer
Senior Vice President, Client Services. Previously, Joel worked for SEI Corporation as a Vice President and Senior Project
Manager for SEI's Portfolio Management (INVEST 3000) and Trust Accounting (TRUST 3000) systems. Prior to that, Joel worked
for TMI Systems Corporation (a unit of SD Financial/Warrington Financial Systems) as Vice President and Division Manager for
the FUNDTRAC Securities Accounting and Bond Analysis Systems, responsible for division P&L, product development, installation
and client support. His experience includes work as ingenieur conseil at Societe Nationale des Petroles d'Aquitaine in Paris,
France, full-time instructor at Sloan School of Management, MIT, and consulting activities for Peat Marwick, Arthur D. Little.
and Technology Management Inc. Joel received a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from MIT, and his M.S. and Ph.D.
in Management Science from MIT's Sloan School of Management.
